A little premature maybe.... There IS a fox in test right now but it is still in testing stages to determine how long the battery will last and if more battery will be required to have it run about 2 weeks is the goal. It IS on 146.550 simplex with a PL of 110.9. Simply key your transmitter, identify your call, then press the touch tone digit ONE for about a quarter to half a second. IF you are within range of the fox, then you will here it respond with a very unique sequence of tones followed by CW ID. The signal will stay on for about one minute and can then be repeated as needed for DF'ing to the fox. More information will be made available as the unit is closer to completion, and there will be some sort of logging in of the date and time you found the fox on GNARC website....

I will keep everyone posted on the status of this, but anyone interested can start DF'ing now in it's test mode and just get your equipment warmed up and dusted off...

Regards,
Curt New
